Nightmare. Liminal space/backrooms. I wake up and a girl is telling me the lay of the land. I wear pink because I’m new and haven’t done anything wrong. Don’t make eye contact with people in red. Something about orange but apparently there’s also YELLOW. I forgot. I’m on a train. Talking to people which is all I remember. Just sitting, talking to person and person. I want to assume I’m exploring levels? But I don’t know. It all comes to a head on level saying kidnapped. A veteran next to me says it happens to all the lucky people. It happened to me. This guys takes Me around, it starts as an empty creepy mall with a small arcade area tucked in the corner, and he took me through walls to this pale pink hospital. He takes me to my room. Vintage tv (like the first one I ever had in my room- of my childhood), red race car bed. The doctor is attractive. I ask if this is where I’m living. He says yes. It’s also where I’m having my brain surgery. Immediate panic. What? Why?? He says because I wrote it down for him in “the form”?? Something else, but mainly my biggest fear is people messing around in my brain. Surgery. I’m frantic. Asking questions. He leaves my room and I follow. He presses. Panic button. Immediately there’s a roar. Like ryker when he fakes spazzed out retard but deeper, lower. I try to RUN back to my bedroom, understanding that that’s why he’s there. If I panic and and go back. The doctor won’t let me. He wants me to sit with it. He’s physically carrying me. He switches positions but his hands are on my waist, supernaturally strong as he lifts me just a few cm off the floor back to my room. I feel safe because at least I don’t have to face this monster. I stop resisting. I wake up irl when that happens.
This dream appears to be rich with symbolism and themes that might reflect certain aspects of your subconscious mind, emotions, and perhaps real-life experiences or concerns. Let's break it down:
Liminal spaces often symbolize transitions or phases between two different states or realities. They can represent feelings of uncertainty, confusion, or exploration. The use of the "backrooms" concept suggests a sense of disorientation and being trapped in an endless exploration, which might reflect feelings of being stuck in a situation or phase in life.
Being on a train often symbolizes a journey or path you are on in life. Talking to people might indicate interactions and connections you are making during this journey, seeking guidance or understanding from others.
This part of the dream suggests feelings of being trapped or taken against your will, yet the veteran’s comment about it happening to "all the lucky people" might indicate a paradoxical feeling that this experience, despite being harrowing, is somehow part of personal growth or a rite of passage.
Malls can symbolize choices and variety, while an arcade might represent distractions or entertainment. The emptiness could point to feelings of solitude or the fear of being isolated amidst these choices and distractions.
The hospital and surgery scenario touches upon themes of vulnerability, fear of change, or personal transformation. The pink hue might again relate to personal vulnerability or innocence.
Fear of brain surgery may connect to deep fears of losing control or having your thoughts and autonomy manipulated. The form you filled out could symbolize actions or decisions you’ve made that you feel have put you in this position.
The doctor represents authority or a guiding figure, although one that is forcing you to confront deep fears. His supernatural strength could symbolize the power of these fears over you or the inevitability of confronting them.
The panic button and the ensuing roar indicate an acute confrontation with a horrifying aspect of yourself or a situation you’re in. The doctor's insistence on making you "sit with it" suggests a need to face and process this fear, which may lead to personal growth or resolution.
In conclusion, this dream seems to explore themes of transition, fear, personal growth, and the internal struggles of facing significant life changes. The symbols and scenarios reflect deep anxieties but also point towards opportunities for understanding and overcoming these fears.
